Winter Weather - FAQs

As we approach winter weather, we want to ensure everyone has the information they need regarding office operations during inclement conditions.

Please read the below FAQ for answers on our most commonly asked questions. IF you do not see an answer to a question that you have, or if the below guides do not help, then please submit a ticket. 

 

1. I don't typically work from home, how do I access the system? Please follow this guide for instructions on accessing the Windows App from home. 

2. Does IT have loaner devices in the event of weather? Yes we do! Please submit a ticket and we will provide you with the required equipment. EX: Screen, Laptop, Keyboard & Mouse. 

3. When working from home how do I take calls? Please download the RingCentral app and login, this will allow you to function akin to being in the office. Here is our guide on the RingCentral App. 

4. I am having issues with my connection to the system. In the event that you are having issues with the Windows App, please reboot your home's internet box & your virtual machine before submitting a ticket. Often this fixes issues with connectivity. (Slowness, glitches, etc. ) Here is a guide on how to reboot the virtual machine (Windows App).
